A review of what they call <$100 processors (I would say its more around the $90 mark...no athlon II x4 in it). Either way its an easy to follow review to help everyone out with a budget build.

Summary: Do what many on this forum say and get an athlon x3 for budget gaming.

games should be run at 1920 with all eye candy on, gpu makes more difference + lack of oc = fail :p. us cheap bastuges buy a 50 dollar cpu and clock it to 150 dollar value,lol

If you are willing to overclock, and if buying a sub $100 cpu for gaming who wouldn't be, the i3 would be a great choice. It's just at the $100 limit, maybe a $10 above, but overclocks easily to 4ghz or higher and will spank the X3.

Your kind of missing the point of low budget. I agree the i3 is an awesome budget chip that overclocks very well, but if you are on a very tight and fixed budget for a GAMING rig I think the $30 difference in price between an x3 and i3 (approx $85 for x3 and $115 for i3) would be better spent on bumping up a step in the gpu (example $30 extra will get you from a 5670 to an 5750/gts450 or it could get you from a 5770 to a gtx 460). That said if you can spare the extra few dollars it opens up other options...such as getting a better CPU.

true. for the price of the i3 you can get celly and mobo. will be slower of course, but fit your budget.
