Can't wait for this thing to be reviewed.. and then stuck into my rig.
Once and for all decided moving for Nvidia just because the STUPID amd drivers.

meh, if they can at least keep power figures in the same bracket of the original 480. what would set this apart, performance wise, from an oc'ed 480? i wonder :)

It has the extra shaders, as well as the benefit of being fabbed on a more mature 40nm process. It should allow for higher overclocks. Overall it should be a good card when it does finally make it to retail.

So long as you don't have to keep all flammables away from the Exhaust I'll be happy.
I know the card *480* was designed to run Hot, but since my GX2's I was never a Fan of Having such a hot card in my case.

k, so nov 9 is the official release date right?

there are a handfull of sites i trust with temps and juice pulling, here and tpu and maybe another one.

I think reviewers should hold the cards and then publish a review of the GTX 580 and 6970 together. The whole idea of NV moving up the release date on a card they have no intentions of delivering on urks me. They will want reviews before the 6970 becomes avialable so the card is reviewed in a more favorable light. Better yet, don't publish the reviews until retail availability is established.

nah... we have to see if gtx 580 is worth... if not then we can buy amd or old nvidia card...
