Asus said the EP121 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and has an integrated webcam, HDMI, SD card reader and a USB port, claiming a 10-hour battery life (like the iPad).

the EP121 is expected to retail for about $499, the starting price for an Apple iPad.
Leave it to ASUS to design a product that is superior in every way and yet costs the same as an iPad.

That looks :censored:'ing sweet, a c2d processor tablet! Even the 1.66Ghz atom is more powerful than the ipad.

If performance and responsiveness is good this might be of interest. Flash and USB huh....

Who would have thought, an expensive inferior product produced by Apple.

I wonder how the fanbois will twist this one?!

+1, can't say it better.. :thumb:

One thing to note is that the Asus version has flash support which allows video streaming. It's based on Windows 7, now this is a plus or minus for others, as an example people who have never used Apple devices before aren't familiar with the OS, and most users out there now have had their hands on Win 7.

MSI I dunno, Asus is supposed to be launching in 2011 priced around $299-399, nothing was mentioned about the storage.

Way to go, let the drones have their inferior hardware and apple logo. Ill take a 10x better product for the same price!

Same price, its going to be half the price, you have to factor in good hardware + good design - apple tax.

The fact that it runs Windows is its short coming. This and the fact that it runs another UI overlay. They should have just stuck w/ Android.

I agree.... Ipads don't do everything we want them to do but its instant on and what it does is fast and snappy. I would buy a Android tablet in a heartbeat.
