I can certainly argue that it doesn't look nearly as good as STALKER, Crysis, or Metro 2033 on a 1080p display. And all the "tricks" that console games use to make them look better are also used in PC games to make them look a hell of a lot better.

Yes those games look much better but still the average game for PC coming out vs the average game for the PS3/360 look about the same and that is sad. Lately we have been getting some good titles though.

Outside of really bad console ports, every cross-platform game looks noticeably better on the PC.

It's unexpected that you would find an ATI GPU and IBM CPU on the same die. However, I think Microsoft might actually own the rights to the R500 design, so this could be legitimate.

I played Dirt 2 on the 360 and PC, and PC wins hands down. It still looks good on both, but with a decent graphics card you can definitely notice the FPS improvement and in the PC version you can see the trails for miles, where as on the consoles it drops the details down to maintain a steady framerate. Either way they are both close, but PC games always look more polished to me as I've pretty much switched back to PC gaming for that reason.

At the right price though, Natal is promising. The hardware doesn't look accurate at this point as the ports are all in a different arrangement but I guess if they are revamping might as well get rid of the memory slots. Also at the price of the current 360s, if Natal is in the territory of the launch 360 prices, I'm not sure if it will be successful.

As much as I love my console gaming, they're right. Consoles can't touch PC graphics. PS3 had an upper hand tech-wise over PC's for like half a year before all the Jesus tech started coming out (quad-cores, quads with hyperthreading, the HD 4xxx amd GTX 2xx gfx cards)
