Default Crucial DDR4-2133 32GB Memory Kit Review Comment Thread

Crucial's entry level 2133MHz kit may not have a cool heatsink design or extreme clock speeds but it is one of the lowest priced 32GB DDR4 kits available and it overclocks just as well as higher-end offerings.

Why no damn good value award? Sounds like it should be getting one from what I've read. Fascinating review.

Yeah as far as quad channel DDR4 goes it's the "deal" at the moment. Any reason it didn't get damn good value?

DDR4 prices may stay high longer than DDR3 with no mainstream support for the next while.

While everyone wants fast ram, this seems to still gets the majority of the performance (once OC'd) for a decent discount do to its lower rated freq.

Seems numb to hold back on a $5 set of heatsinks for a $450 set of dimms.

I really did strongly consider it but since I didn't really know the capabilities of other 32GB DD4-2133 kits and I find DDR4 prices a little crazy anyways, I held off.

However, at the time the other 2133 kits were all only $20-30 more expensive, which isn't a huge deal when you're already spending over $450.

I just rechecked tonight and prices have skewed significantly further apart (probably due to the falling CAD) and those other kits are now $40-60 more expensive. So it is a Dam Good Value, but apparently I can't change the award after the fact.
