My System Specs

Default Ram Disk: AMD vs Softperfect vs ???

I'm thinking of buying AMD RAMDisk

I've read the review on this site at AMD RAMDisk Review

I've already downloaded and am trying to figure out how to use this free one: Softperfect RAM Disk

Now maybe I'm just being cheap - but $10 will buy me yet another game on Steam's Christmas sale :) \
(AMD RAM Disk is on sale for $9.95 for the 32GB version)

I have 32 GB of RAM (available on the Win8 side of my machine - only 16 available on Win7 Home Premie)

So is AMD's any better than Softperfects? Anyone using either?

And does this work with Steam games?

Is there a better RAM Disk that I should try?

I did try to search the forums for "ram disk" but got zero hits - I know there is stuff about ram disks on this forum, not sure why I could not find them.

Try PrimoCache, its in beta right now but its a great performer. I have been using it on my laptop for 6+ months and has had 0 hiccups. Its also free so you can spend you $10 on your steam sale. Reasons why I like it, it runs more like a hybrid hard drive setup then a normal RAMDisk so almost 0 config and maintenance on it.
