RAM Suggestions?
 

I am looking for 8GB of ram for my machine, and have found this:

I could buy two of each of these seeing as no one makes 4*2gb packs.

Corsair 4gb pack

I am not too picky on brand just not mushkin as I bought a 4gb kit from them for my mac book and one stick was doa.

Also if you can suggest something better/cheaper great.

WHAT, DDR2? do you have a specific reason to use DDR2 memory? DDR3 much better ,i can't recommend these :/ if you want the best ram, Corsair vengeance ram, and for good ram but cheaper, Gskill ram.The ram that you are showing is extremely slow :whistle:

My board doesn't support DDR3 :(

Also remember I am not using my computer for gaming or overclocking or anything, it is simply a video/audio/web surfing machine.

ok,so between these i recommend the corsair.Just for the quality.

by the way for web/surfing or even 1080p vids you won't even use 2 gb of ram so you don't need to buy some :haha: your computer will be 0% faster

I also do the odd DVD rip and such, it's not strictly a MCPC, but it's mostly used for that, might just go get 4 different sticks of 4*1gb instead, these GEIL stick I have are too big and stressing the ram slots pretty bad.

You never mentioned what OS your running.

8gb is still going to be WAY overkill for you. 4 is fine for what you do.. Most of what you do is CPU intense not ram

I multi task a lot as well lol

Still not going to need 8. Multitasking? Like what? Messenger, Browsing, Music?
