Removing heat Sinks on RAM

So I need to pop some heatsinks off some Corsair Vengeance ram whats the easiest way?
has anyone done this before?
is there anything I should avoid?
Dont talk me out of this its happening one way or another !!!

never done it before, but maybe heatup the heatsink with a heatgun/hairdryer so the thermal adhesive melts and pry them apart with a small flathead screwdriver

was thinking the same thing just... a nylon pry bar instead of metal as that tends to break stuff but great minds think alike, I will show some pix of how it turns out :)

Do you have anything to re-affix them when you're done?

I'd probably go the heatgun route as well, but if you had double sided thermal tape and didn't need to worry about trying to keep some form of adhesiveness to the current tape you could always soak it in some form of mild solvent.

WOOOOW that was easy I mean less then 5 min no problem with a head gun and a pry tool. tomorrow remove the stickers and paint... reason I want to wait till I get the paint is my kids have free run of the house and my office is the first place they mess with so the less time the stickers are sitting out the better :)

They snap together on the ends if its the high profile ones anyway.... so even if its sudo sticky the snaps will do the rest.
