Question about ram and bios configuration intel xmp
 

Hey i have my ram and have set them correctly up in the bios, i have activated intel xmp and then the settings changed to the right spec for the with correct timings and correct voltage,but in windows and in the 3dmark 11 you see that the speed is totally wrong and voltage may also be.

what should i do to make the ram the same as in bios intel xmp profile?

i got asus p8z77-v motherboard
Memory: Kingston hyper x genesis 1600 mhz ram (http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/K...D3X2K2_8GX.pdf)

There was a thread about this last week. I havn't graduated from 775 yet but gist of conversation was the same as you, XMP settings overroad bios settings. Most or all of the responders were happy with XMP and thier setup was stable stresstesting.
This ain't much of a help but look around the threads here somewhere.

i mean that when i have set the setting using xmp in bios, when i boot into windows those settings isn't there anymore

what can it be?
