Ram configuration advantages
 

I was just wondering if there is any advantages for a 2x4gb or a 4x2gb configuration other than the headroom to upgrade later if you use 4gb DIMMs. I will not upgrade beyond the 8gb that i'm looking to purchase on this platform so I dont care about 2 empty slots. I am more concerned about stability, performance, visuals, etc.

It might be a little bit more difficult to overclock your system with 4 modules installed as opposed to just 2.

I generally proclaim that the less amount of hardware you can have, the better. I'd head for the 2x4gb config.

Agreed 2x4GB, easier for overclocking, less heat, more room for upgrades :)
