Ram Question for new IvyBridge build

Hey everyone,

In the process of getting all my new parts for my new build. I am waiting on the release of the i5-3570k to get the processor and motherboard. Here are the parts I have so far for my build:

Corsair 600T
Corsair TX850M
Corsair H80
LG SuperMulti Blu Ray burner

Will be buying :

i5-3570k
ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional motherboard
GTX680 SC+

The only thing I am wavering on is the ram. I am thinking I will go with 16 GB, due to the cost being fairly low right now. The main thing I am wondering is the speeds. Should I just go with a 1600 with low timings like the Corsair Vengeance

or go for something like the 2133 G.Skill shown below here.

I am just torn on if the speeds are worth it. I will be probably over-clocking everything eventually. I am willing to spend in the neighbourhood of $100-150 for ram.

Ram is Ram when it comes to everyday computing and most gaming, get the cheapest ram you want.

It's somewhat easier to overclock with speed rather then timings, take that into consideration, but usually 1600 is more then enough at the lowest divider to provide headroom for a large overclock.

I've been told that get RAM that is rated at 1.5V and below. 1.65V is not good apparently.

Just get a standard 4x4GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5V. That will give you the best balance between performance and cost. It's not worth spending a premium on higher binned ram for a gaming build because it won't translate into any noticeable improvements in game performance. You are better off putting your money into the video card and cpu than the ram.

A little late,check out this Samsung ram,no heatspreaders read the reviews on newegg and $48.99 Samsung 30nm DDR3 1600 hitting 2133?!? - techPowerUp! Forums .... I personally ordered two kits (auto-notify on newegg). I haven't played with them yet but running fine at 1600 mhz @ 1.35v maximus gene z +2600K.
