Default Difference between G.Skill Ripjaws and Ripjaws X RAM?

What's the difference between these set of RAMs? I see a price difference of a few dollars.

My System Specs

I could be wrong, but I believe the heatsinks differ slightly in look/height, and I think the Ripjaws are defined for use on AMD or Intel systems, whereas RipJaw X are defined for Intel spec due to XMP being used, as well the Rip Jaw X might be slightly better binning as they tend to be speced for lower voltages. I know the Rip Jaw X set that I got works perfectly fine with my AMD build at its rated speed of 1866Mhz with proper timings 9,10,9,24(28) 1.5v so I suppose it depend on your motherboard.

Sets like the Sniper/Sniper SE and ECO kits really muddle things up though.
