Default Any comments on Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB 4X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 RAM?

NCIX.com - Buy Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 Vengeance Blue 16GB 4X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Dual Channel Memory Kit - Corsair - CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B - in Canada

Any comments on this RAM bundle? How's the overclocking potential for this set of RAM? $94.99 doesn't seem too bad and I'm tempted to get it. I plan on pairing that with a Core i5 2500K and overclock it.

YMMV but I have a 8gb kit of those and I cant get anything out of them above 1600 on my P7P55D-E LX and i5/750. So I am running 3.2ghz right now. Using my old G.Skill I was able to go around 1850 so I know it's not a motherboard issue.

I'd look for a G.Skill kit instead.

Are you planning to overclock your ram or your cpu or both?

If you aren't overclocking the ram it will be just fine. I have no experience but I would take skyllz experience into account. I have 8gb vengeance and I could not get it to stay at 1600mhz(kept going back to 1333) on my mobo but I had no problem getting my mushkin to stay at 1600.

Yes, I plan on overclocking both the RAM and the CPU.

Ncix was having a sale on the Corsair kit and hence why I looked at that.

16GB @ 9-9-9 for that price is pretty good I think. Even if there is little headroom.
