2x 12gb kits will be fine.

Yes those will work.

NCIX link
NCIX.com - Buy Corsair Dominator GT 12GB 3X4GB DDR3-2000 CL9-10-9-27 Intel XMP Triple Channel Memory Kit W/ Fan - Corsair - CMT12GX3M3A2000C9 - in Canada

But if you don't feel comfortable tweaking in the bios I recommend you using 12800 rams. These should be no problem running at auto settings @ 1600mhz.

Such as NCIX.com - Buy Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Frostbyte PC3-12800 12GB 3X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Triple Channel Memory - Mushkin Enhanced - 998776 - in Canada

For the red dominators to run at the advertise speed, you most likely have to go into the BIOS and manually set the voltage, multiplier, timing.

Here is a much better set, 1.5v 1600mhz 9-9-9 <-they should run at that speed without any tweaking.

NCIX.com - Buy Corsair Vengeance 12GB 3X4GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 XMP Triple Channel Core i7 Memory - Corsair - CMZ12GX3M3A1600C9 - in Canada

tweaking means changing the settings. not just "put the memory into the system and it runs 100% out of the box"

Does tweaking has some disadvantage or? And is it difficult to change it?

2 and three channel: all I can say is the more the better. If your running a 990x that means you got a tripple channel mobo. That can offer better performance over a dual channel from what I understand. The lga 1155 only makes dual channel. Thats about all I know
