Default Ram for a GA-P35-DS3R

I am looking for compatible DDR2 800 ram for my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R MB.

Any viewers with this MB, please post the ram you are running stable. I intend to go with 2x 2GB sticks.

Thanks for all input.

I have 3 Gigabyte boards, and 2 use Mushkin mem and the 3rd some DDR3 Patriot Viper sticks. Never had any issues.

I've had good luck with Ballistix PC2 8500 on my P35-DQ6.

OCZ-reapers (as per my sig). Bad oc'ers but no stability issues.

Check out GA's website for their compatible list as well. Certainly not comprehensive but it will give you an idea of what will work.

OCZ Platinum here. No issues.

The Gigabyte compatability charts are a little outdated no?

Started with a set of Mushkin HP PC2-6400. Worked well, except they didn't like anything above 450 fsb. Switched over to a set of Team Xtreem PC2-8000. Fantastic ram, doesn't seem to care if it's at 4-4-4-10 or 5-5-5-15. No problem with any fsb, they will outrun my E8400. Gained another 200 mhz with the Team ram. Got the set from TankGuys for $70. It's also available from NCIX, for $436.16 Note that I bought a 2GB set though, if you really need 4GB then up the price accordingly.
Edit: Holy crap! Just noticed the date of this thread, Feb. 15

Default Problems with Crucial Ballistix 8500?

Has anyone heard of or experienced problems using Crucial Ballistix 8500 (4x1Gb)and the P35-DS3L or P35-DS3R? Seen a number of threads on other boards citing vague problems (random reboots, lock-ups, etc.), but no specifics or causes. Not trying to jack this thread. Thanks.

If I had to guess, I'd suggest that maybe the folks with problems either had bad sticks or didn't get the voltage right.

These sticks like to run @ 2.2V.... 1.8 (default on the boards) usually is enough to boot, and they also don't seem to behave well with higher than 2.2.

I'm running 4 sticks on a giga P35 board without any problems.
