I hear ya. I have to keep myself in check cause my budgets have a tendency to go over what I originally plan and then the wife gets mad. It's just cause she doesn't understand

But you'll want to get a 40mm fan for the Northbridge as it does tend to run hot when upping the FSB.
lol! That's the one. I chose it for several reasons. It has gotten good reviews, it's inexpensive and it has serial and parallel ports.

Now I'm really laughing. I'm trying to spend as little as possible right now , and yet still have a relatively good system. I don't want to shock my wife with a huge price tag. I'll pick up the extras one at a time later on. (Keyboard, speakers, headphones, etc.)

I had one before when I had my E2180, sold that system to a friend of mine. I've recommend the board to another friend at work and when I'm buying it again. Honestly it's probably one of the best boards I've owned besides my S939 DFI LANParty Ultra-D. There are a few on here that use the Gigabyte P35-DS3L including 3.0Charlie.

Yep that's how I'm doing it too, one or two piece here and there. As for headphones check the NCIX sales page. They should have a good deal on a set of good headphones.

Nope! I'm not even going to look. I had one on my list already but prudently removed it. Its time will come.

Yeppers. It's about time. I've been on this forum now for just over a year.

Just out of curiosity. How bad is it, price wise , regarding the shipping from NCIX? I'm in Nova Scotia and am looking at a system housed in an Antec p182. Should I be prepared to part with an arm?

The only problem with being out in the N.S. is that damned HST, me being in ON when I order I'm only stuck forking out 5% GST. For a full order you could look to be spending about $30 to get it airshipped. At lest with DirectCanada if your order is over $300 you get free groundshipping.
