Dan, thing may change now, Kingston will now have PnP memory for the Sandy. They have a new SPD profile programming that will allow 1600, and 1866 RAM to work without using XMP or setup the speed, timing or voltage manually.

good to hear,but i dont quite like the idea of not having most(?) of the rams work on my mobo,id change it lol.

Yeah, these days is not called special memory just needs to be on the QVL sheet. What if you have some old ram and want to reuse it and is not on the QVL? I guess you get one of those Asus mobos that have the Mem OK! button?
