8500 sticks?

I haven't bought them... yet. It will be a while before any new ram will be installed, since the Q9450 is a special order. And I won't play with my rig until both CPU and Ram have arrived.

No worklog (the rig used is my 3rd one in my sig), but I'll sure post some oc'ing numbers...

Is that quad one of the newer 12M cache chips?

It'll be great to see how big of a difference the extra cache and the potential performance boost of DDR3 work with FAH.

You're right... there are very few apps out there which take proper advantage of those kinds of things.

Yes Sir, that's the One. And I'm buying it strictly for that! I really taught about it, and I'l probably go for the DDR3 - speed and price are hard to match.

I couldn't resist. Just bought the Patriot Vipers Extreme, price-matched for 282$ @ NXSource: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...acture=Patriot. Should receive them Tuesday. Now if only NCIX could give me some info about the Q9450...
