Default what if memory is not listed under the QVL of the motherboard

If the memory set is not listed under the QVL of the mother board can i still use it? Will it cause problem in the future? Thanks in advance

Should be OK if the ram is from a major vendor.

Have you tried a Google search with your ram part number (be specific), and your motherboard model? if you want to be sure, you can look for others who have tried your combo.

You can also head over to a manufacturer forum for your motherboard or ram and ask if anyone has tried the combo, and what settings they used (and any bios info that may be helpful).

You should be fine... I'm using Patriot rams in an AMD system that the memory vendor recommended and tested for the i5, i7. Everything runs perfect.

If you use RAM that isn't in your QVL it may work perfectly fine. (As good as or better than RAM in the QVL)

However, if it doesn't then don't complain. You might have to swap them out for some in your QVL.
