hehe, i'm not on a crusade to fix Corsair's packaging. i just want to know what the 'norm' is, because i really didn't expect to get what i got.

i mean, it's kind of like buying a new music cd without the plastic wrapping around it. wouldn't that be worrisome to you? especially when you discover there are fingerprints all over the cd? what if there were scratches on it that rendered it unplayable?

Thumbs up

Since Crucial Ballistix Tracers has also been up in this thread, I just want to show you mine. The nice mailman delivered my new Tracers (PC2-8500, 2x1GB) today (ordered 27/12-07), and I have taken a couple of snapshots, to show how my set was packaged. As can be seen, the set is supplied in a sturdy cardboard-box, sealed with a large sticker with Crucials logo and part-numbers and so forth. Inside the 2 modules is (offcourse) packaged in separate anti-static-backs, and held in place by some cardboard pieces. So, not all Crucial Tracers come in blister packs. But my OCZ 2x1GB CrossFire Edt. set was in a blister pack, and there was nothing wrong with them, so I suppose the blister pack is a OK way to package RAM-modules. BUT, the OCZs blister pack was sealed, when I received them. And I must say that my opinion is, that ALMOST anything should be factory-sealed, for my peace of mind. Now.... Maybe I should go off-line, and see what those Tracers are game for...

Ps. Sorry for spelling and weird words and phrases, but Im forreign, and doing my best.
