DDR Ram decisions.

AS unfortunate as it is, DDR ram is getting more and more expensive and for some reason harder to find what I want. Could be just me, but who knows, it's why I am posting now.

I have been looking at a few different brands on my own but I need some outside advice.
First off, I want 1gb Dual channel (2x512) DDR

So far my selection has been:
Crucial Ballistix Tracer 1gb (2x512) Dual channel PC4000

OCZ DDR Gold Gamers eXtreme 1GB (2x512) Dual Channel PC3500


I WAS, looking at some PNY ram which seem way to good to be true. I had posted about this before but this is what I was looking at.

PNY Verto Dual Channel 1GB (2x512) Dual Channel PC4800

If it isn't obvious I am trying to keep the price down.

Probably be a good idea to say that I'm trying to break the most performance for my buck out of DDR. Mind you I don't want INSANE memory (unless it's really cheap priced) but just enough to get things moving along really nicely.
If you know of a 2gb dual channel set I would be interested if its in a good price range. I am setting a max of $150.

Hmm, $150 for DDR duel channel? Might be pretty hard pressed to find that...*looks* There we go, Direct Canada has some duel channel DDR memory!

Guess I should of added some more detail.
I'm currently using some Crucial Ballistix PC3200 Dual channel. Great stuff. If I wasn't looking for ram I would use that. However I on the look out for something about PC3200. Just preference really. Unless you can really convince me that PC3200 is going to be the way for me.

I had the OCZ Plats but the 1GB (2x512MB) and they don't OC very well. I was able to only get 5MHz increase. The OCZ Plats PC3200 that'd OCed awesome were the Rev.2 (OCZ4001024ELDCPER2-K) They did not come in a 2GB set. You would be hard pressed to find 1GB set anymore. I'd go with the Ballistix Tracers, they will give you more headroom if you decide to OC.

The tracer would be my choice. BTW Ive got a 2gb set of XMS4000PT that are just sitting around right now if your interested. Much better option than the RAM your looking at. They could cut through Bioshock + Crysis with no problems.

LOL.... your talking to a guy who played Doom3 and Half Life 2 on an P3 with 512 SDRAM, on an Radeon 9550... Trust me, as long as I can play it, I'm not concerned.

Don;t get me wrong, I still want some quality stuff.
