Default Holy **** look at those timings! New G Skill kit...

I was checking out Newegg today and noticed this new G skill kit for sale. Its $288 CDN but you would not believe the specs. Its a Triple Channel kit 6 Gb DDR3 2000Mhz with timings of 6-9-6-24! I couldn't believe it, thought it was a typo.

Does anyone here used or is using these? Anyone heard of them? To me they flew under the radar. Check it out below:

G.SKILL-Products
Newegg.ca - G.SKILL PI + Turbulence II 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL6T-6GBPID

Im highly considering upgrading to these just to see how good they are. The fans look like they could be Green LED's not sure though.

But can your chip's IMC handle that? Likely not.

For benching, yes. For absolutely everything else, no.

The model the OP is referring to is model# F3-16000CL6T-6GBPID. The model at XtremeSystems is F3-16000CL6T-6GBPIS. However, the D could simply be a designation for the cooler that's included with the former model. It's also possible that one or the other is binned higher, but I'm wagering they are using the same IC's.

How can it not? G Skill guarantee's they will run at that spec so how can't it. The poster from G.SKILL Triple Channel X58 series F3-16000CL6T-6GBPIS 6-9-6-24 (2GBx3) - XtremeSystems Forums is running them at spec and overclocked. I think I may give these a try.

Hey just out of curiosity, if I bought a kit and have it shipped to you or whoever to test would you do a review of them?

Looks like newegg is sold out of them now. But yeah I know anything above 1333 is an overclock. Still, I would love to pic this up. Thinking of a second build anyways...
