Default DDR2 PC2-9600 should I do it?

Hi guys I got a rampage formula mobo currently got 2gigs of Corsair XMS2 Dominator Twin2x2048 and I dont think there cutting it. I was planning on moving up to 4gigs now but don;t what speed of ram to go to is 1200 good because I see OCZ Flex EX XLC 4GB 6-6-6-18 2.2volts and its going for 99 at canadacomputers. The timmings and voltage look good on it and the extra watercooling feature looks great because im planning on going watercooling soon. let me know what you guys think and remember i got a rampage formula for some reason this mobo has a hard time reading ram timings and speed.

What are your plans?

Because realistically with Intel that ram speed won't make much difference.

Complete waste of money. You won't notice a difference between that and DDR2-800 RAM with a Core 2 system.

Im running rampage formula E8400 4850's in crossfire and got currently 2 gigs of corsair xms2 dominator 1066. Should i just buy another pair of those or is it better to get 1066 2x2gig sticks?

Will you be overclocking your CPU? If not, then you'll be fine with getting another set of 1GB sticks. If you will be overclocking, it's better to use 2x2GB since you can generally reach higher overclocks with that configuration.

you will notice a difference but you gotta overclock your cpu too
i ran my ddr2 1200++ for about 2 years
800 to 1200 you gotta be stoned not to notice
1000 to 1200 is not verry noticable
but then i never ran below 500fsb
pc2-9600 only if you gonna opverclock n get ocz lowvoltage or gskill lowvoltage or the pi
dont bother with that watercooled crap its actually crap

Bus speed is at 450 and memory is at 1125. The sticks I got right now do not like to go any further than this I spent many hours messing around with voltage and timings they just don't like going higher. Timings at that speed are 5-5-5-18 and stock voltage 2.1. I would like to sit at 500 bus speed. The price for 1200 2x2gig sticks are 99 and 1066 from g.skill or any other manufacture go for 80-well above 100. I live in canada brampton will be buying from infonec or canadacomputers places that I can drive too don't like buying online let me know what ram and the price that's better than what im looking at.

Unless you have something to take advantage of it.

You won't notice any difference between 800-1200

Trust me I know.
