My System Specs

Default Which ram should I purchase???

I can't help but notice that DDR2 ram seems to be dirt cheap these days. I think its time for me to upgrade to 2 - 1gb sticks of DDR2 ram (The Max my cheap mobo will support).

I am running XP Home and doubt that I will be running Vista within another 2 or 3 years (or purchasing a new mobo or cpu within that same time frame).

MY MoBo supports a max DDR Speed of 533 mhz. BUT I thought if I get something that is meant to run
faster that I could tighten up the timings and play around to get some "Extra" performance.

I do not do much gaming on my computer or anything that REALLY needs speed or power, but it sure is nice to have

Any suggestions on some RAM that would be a good choice for me?

P.S. COST IS A TOP FACTOR - College Student.

Thanks again :)

Well I had 2 - 512DDR 400. I "WANTED" to upgrade.

One of my 512's just DIed. Now I will be upgrading ASAP

I was interested in this one Canada Computers - Memory > DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz - : Mushkin HP2-5300 DDR2-667 2x1GB High Performance Series CAS4-4-4-10 (996521).

it was $98 but now its back to $107. I still think this would be good for me, extra head room for OC'ing, and or stability :)

any last minute advice?

Thanks again
