Default Is this ddr3 any good?

I found some ddr3 6gb kits that are 2000mhz FOR 183.19!!!!! MY GOSH It doesn't seem like anyone has purchased it but look at the price! So has anyone heard of it?

The latencies are a little weak, but nothing serious. And i7 likes memory speed, so they might be worth a shot. As long as you're aware that it's possible for memory speeds to be limited by your processor, especially up in the 2000MHz range and beyond.

newegg has those sticks on their site too...I think they are cheaper there...I'm just about to look...but at least you get to see what they look like!

According to G-Skill, the only motherboards actually guaranteed to run these modules at their rated specs are a couple offerings from Asus, MSI, and DFI. Not that they might not run fine on that EVGA board, but it illustrates the point - things can get touchy at those kind of speeds.

ya it is fairly new technology, didn't the i7 come out last fall or something?
