From the manufacturer's perspective, it's cheaper to make. From the user's, there isn't any benefit unless you need to save the height for a very specific project. Otherwise, you're likely better off having regular profile RAM, as I suspect it dissipates heat better.

I bought that ram @ Canada Computers last month. 2 x 2gig @ 800mhz stock 5-5-5-15 @ 1.8v, I oc'd them to 4-4-4-12 @ 1.9v solid as heck a great buy! They were $59
