Default Corsair Dominator-GT 3x2GB PC3-15000 C7 Memory Review Comment Thread

The mother ship has landed and memory addicts are rejoicing all over the world. The new Corsair Dominator-GT series is selling like hot cakes and we managed to snag a pair. This thread will not only be the central hub for review discussion, we will also be posting memory settings to help get these modules up and running to spec on the DFI X58-T3eH8 and EVGA X58-SLI motherboards. There may also be some other benches that will be of interest as this kit gets more face time with some of our other hardware

Keep your eyes peeled on this thread as it will be home for what this kit was meant to really do...bench!

7-8-7-20 @ 1866MHz and keeping 1.65v is straight up ridicule! Rich people only!

Wow, very nice. Looks like there may at least be some small hope of hitting DDR3-2000, even with the slightly lower binned kit. And the Cas6 results were a nice touch too. Honestly, if these weren't so expensive...

...goes off to find some red paint for his regular Dominators.

Wow, that's some good RAM. 1GHz at CAS 7 within acceptable voltages. Corsair also sells this stuff directly: they have a 7-8-7-20 2000MHz kit for US$580, an 8-8-8-24 kit for $480, and a an 1866MHz 7-8-7-20 kit also for $480, all at 1.65V.

Just noticed a type in the main page of the review; you wrote 2x3gb sticks at the top. :)
