Recommendations on 2Gig kit
 

Well I think its finally time I bite the bullet and upgrade to a 2 gig kit, my 2x256 Ocz Plats are showing sever signs of bottlenecking, that said what the hell should I pick up?
I got about $300 cdn to spend I really have been happy with my ocz plat over the years they were decent overclockers for their time but that was a long time ago.:)
Hoping that ncix has something on there boxing day sale next week.
Yes I will be OCing them I want @ least 250 out of them so post some links.
This is a 939 system with a 3800 x-2 in a eVGA nf-41 mobo.

If you can find a set of OCZ5002048ELGEGXT-K they'll do 250 effortlessly (that is of course what they're rated for.... :) ), but good luck getting them up to even 260.

Decent DDR OC ram is getting damn hard to find. IMO the best bet is to find a used set from somebody who's upgraded to Core 2 Duo and doesn't need their ddr any more.

If you're really looking for new stuff, pm me and I'll send you a link on another forum which has links to sites still selling decent ddr ram. (Don't want to spam this forum with links from another).

Pretty set on new, I have bought used ram off of forums before and ended up with DOA, pain in the ass, while I have bought other parts with no probs I think I want no hassles if you get me, I ain't into tracking ppl down all over N.A, again.

I can tell you with 99.9% certainty that NCIX will not have any DDR overclocking memory left in stock. They blew it all out ages ago when AM2 was introduced.

I know it's getting pretty hard to find nowadays and the longer I wait the harder it is.

Tankguys look like they're still selling 2g pc4000 kits @ under $300 US and they claim to ship to Canada.

I might get a buddy to ship me up some from the states...... as a gift you understand.:D

According to one of the comments (take it with a grain of salt......) 2.5-3-3-7 @ 270!!!!!

Wish I could get my mem up past 255..........
