Recommendations on 2Gig kit

Sorry ss been memtesting and must have missed your post, finally deduced that I need to RMA that muskin 4000 I picked up, 1 stick memtested all 4 slots @ 10h+
the second stick doesn't give me any errors but when I hit "esc" to reboot out of memtest my bios resets, both sticks in dual channel fail memtest and prime anywhere from 3min to 1 hour.

I thought I was going nuts no matter what timings or volt it wouldnt run stable.
If any one has a idea before I send them back, probably monday with the way this week is going, then please post , but as far as I can tell 1's pooched.

Do they both pick the same stock settings when you run them in single mode?

I'd say it's a fairly safe bet that if one stick is behaving differently you probably have a problem. (supposed to be a matched set right????).

They default to the same settings. IDK one more BIOS ver. to work through before it's final.

Limited success with the E4.4 bios I can run DC now but 1T is being a b**ch, 1T wont post period, single or DC , I know that this mobo is picky about ram but the ver e5-e6 bios fixed this 1T issue. Going to keep trying @ least I know it's not the RAM.
On a side note this ram does not like volts @ all 2.46v is 250 3-3-2-8 2T, I hope I can get it high enough to offset some of the 2T effects, If I cant hit 1T then mobo time before it gets to hard to find a decent Overclocker.
Damn you DFI, If DFI-Street was still up then there would be no choice but IDK about dfi, then again there is a huge user base.

Go for anything tccd/bh5.

Corsair xms 3200xl, 3500pro, pqi turbo, teamgroup zeus stix (prolly best for ur amount of cash) and g.skill gbhz kit. My 3200xl clocked 340fsb 2.9v 3-3-3-8 1T. Great stuff. I'd suggest buying used if u have the time. It doesnt seem as if you're a trader, i'd recommend anandtech.com>forum>forsaletrade to get started. Just ask for people's heatware to get proof they're good traders.

Looks like all of the original dfi-street forums are going to be back up (under a new name) shortly.

When they do, you can see what kind of settings have worked with that mem.
