Default Anyone running 8GB of Ram in the P5Q-Pro? Issues?

I have a P5Q-Pro with 2x2GB of corsair Dominator 1066 ram and am looking to buy 4 more.
Was wondering if anyone had this setup, or a similar one (ram wise).
Just wondering if putting 4 sticks of 1066 ram in this mobo is going to cause any issues like having to downlclock or anything.

Thanks

I couldn't get mine to run stable at any speeds with 8GB of ram.

What bios are you using Max?

ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

You'll need to bump the northbridge voltage to get it to work correctly.

Edit: Max this seems to be an ongoing problem, a quick search and you're not the only with this problem.

I haven't flashed the bios as I don't like doing that unless I have to.

I'll google this to see if there is a problem.
I currently don't have a problem as am only running 4GB I just know having all ram slots full sometimes causes issues and am hesitant to buy another 4GB if that is the case.

Thanks

I do beleive that P45 is limited to 333mhz(pc5400) ram with 8gb.

meaning I'd have to clock down from 1066 to 333?

Thats ridiculous!

Well, keep in mind that P45 is a "value" chipset...X48 handles ram a wee bit better in larger sizes, from my experience. I've had both P5Q pro and P5Q deluxe...

push those NB voltages and loosen those timings!

But as cadaveca said, there are limits. my x38 even chugs at 4x2gb of 1066mhz RAM at lower NB voltages
