Default Dual Channel DDR3 Vs Triple Channel DDR3

Simple question guys. How much performance difference an I looking at between dual channel DDR3 vs triple channel DDR3 ram? I'm building a new system and on a budget so if dual channel will do until a triple channel price drop, that's probably what I'll go with.

Here is their conclusion:

Our testing shows that you can even get away with a dual-channel config if you happen to already have a couple of DDR3 DIMMs lying around. I wouldn't skimp on that third memory module if I were building a Core i7 system from scratch, though.
