Default 8GB of RAM on Phenom 9950 - 790FX

Does anyone have a system that runs on Phenom 9950 and chipset 790FX with 8GB of RAM?

If so, how does it perform and/or are you having any stability issues?

Any info is appreciated

Running 8GB of a 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 kit would be your best bet.
When using 4 sticks of 2GB, ~950Mhz seems to be where it can top out depending on your motherboard using a phenom cpu.

How about 5-5-5-18? I know that 4-4-4-12 is lower latency, but how do you explain these numbers? Currently I am looking at ASUS M3A79-T according to specs it supports upto 16GB of RAM.

5-5-5-18 would put less strain on the memory controller.
4-4-4-12 would perform better though.
