New ram needed

I started getting some random BSOD lately. I tested my sticks with memtest, and it seems that 2 of my sticks are bad

Since I bought from someone on the forum, RMA is not a question. (My intention isn't to flame the guy who sold me the ram, and I won't name it!).

So, I will have to shop for a new kit. I was thinking about selling my 2x1GB Ballistix (the 2 good stick) and buying 2x2GB kit (preferably PC2-8000/8500). Any suggection on the kit to order ?

I heard some good things about some redlines (I can PM on NCIX for 95$ after a 20$ MIR). Any other suggestion?

You cant go wrong with Redline or GSkill 8000pq is on sale for $80 with no MIR. If you want a little higher-end GSkill 8800pi is about $135 which gives you guaranteed 550Mhz with some room to move.

Thx, honestly I don't think that I really need 1066 mhz... I could stick with 1000 and a lower pricetag hehe.

Cool, well you have plenty of options at PC8000 for under $100. The majority of the kits are going to be the same chips so it comes down to what company you prefer in the end and the price. Also if you didnt know this place is about the cheapest for RAM: Memoryhouse.com - Your Memory Specialists.
