Default My Mushkin DDR3... :(

...arrived as 4x1GB, instead of the 4x2GB I ordered. Ah, sigh.

I was really looking forward to some DDR3-1333 7-7-7 goodness. Don't mind me, I just needed to type out my frustration.

I wouldn't call it a retailer to avoid. It was at NCIX, of all places. Requested an RMA, just waiting to hear back now. The worst part is that I've had these sticks backordered for a month!

why !!!
I'll bring it up with the techs.

Can you confirm the correct model #'s on the outside of the package and on the memory modules themselves.

Yup, Greg. Matching model numbers on the modules and packaging. I RMAed it out to NCIX, hopefully it'll get fixed within, you know, a month.

Just ask them if you can order another set right away and then have them reimburse you for the first set :)

D'oh. That would have been a good idea. I hope they'll still let me try cross shipping even though I've already shipped out the RAM.

Great. NCIX says Mushkin changed the description on the RAM I ordered, which is why I got 2x1 instead of 2x2. All they can do is give me a refund. Wasted a whole month and that's the best they can do.

...And so ends my DDR3 journey.

Well doesn't that bite!!!

WTH is going to run 1G sticks of DDR3???? We're all switching over to 2G sticks of DDR2, I can't imagine too many folks wanting to drop back down.
