Default Opinions on 2x2g Kit

I want to make the upgrade to 4G, currently running 2x1g and have it narrowed it down to 2 kits :

NCIX.com - Buy Mushkin XP PC2-8000 Redline 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1000 CL5-5-5-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit - 996593 In Canada.

NCIX.com - Buy Mushkin Ascent PC2-8500 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit - 996619 In Canada.

I ran a set of redlines on my 939 system and they were simply amazing overclockers but those ascents are pretty sweet sounding.
Opinions?

And yes either pc-8000 or 8500.

Go 1066 Ascents. Nice and cool, possible a little more OC headroom.

MMM, personally, I always look at track history of a company in anything before I buy. And, maybe, the TREND of what consumers isnt always where the value is at. OF coz, im talking about teh HyperX man! Its the bomb that most never heard going off. Of coz, I wouldnt say that coz I OCed my 4 GB to 1066 from 800 with NO increase in volts, no, thats not the reason, it couldnt be becasue they are the largest suppliers of high quality aftermartket ram ever. NO, I think its coz they got like really kewl blue heat sinks. THats all.

Kingston is the king of RAM, little to no one really notices. Honestly, in this market, I dont sell anything other than Kingston, cause they tend to have little to no compatibility problems. If I sell Crucial or Corsair, if there is problems, I always fall back to Kingston to save the day.

Im really happy with kingston, Ive always gotten Kingston. Ive enver gotten some aftermarket --- > aftermarket aftermartket repackager of a ram stick. Go wiht the source. Most are getting the same sticks anyway and dont have the gaurantee.

I've got the Ascents and I've been happy with them. They easily break the 1100 mark at low voltages and run quite cool.

Mushkin Ascents or Corsair Dominators 1066MHz

You should be able to get them up over 1100MHz

My Dominators can do 1148 Stable (When I had 8GB they were doing 1133 stable!)

Yeah, thats really good news, but, has ANYONE ehre ever done a review on HyperX? This site tends to be kinda biased. My review is simple, I was able to get them, they run at 1.8 V, and like 266 Mhz over spec. And, when I touch them, while running, they arent hot. Plus, they are probably the same sticks that are others are running. They were jsut bought from Kingston , I got the same speeds and I still got no TEMPS, NO errors, and no over volting. I would like to get up to 1200 or more, ill have to see what the x48 ds4 can do first. BUt, no one has done a x48 review here from Giagabyte here. Said from the last Gigabyte review on a mobo. HyperX is the King. Kinda like the Camaro V8 is the King. You cant beat reliability and performance.

Hey, I've got nothing against them.

I've tried a bunch of different sticks with my board (OCZ ReaperX, Mushkin Redlines, G.Skill, Corsair) but I've never tried those. Not knocking them, just don't know them.

I can only offer my opinion based on experience and I love my Corsairs.
