Default OCZ Vertex 2...

I can pick one up second hand - how much would you guys pay? Just to know - I have tried it and all is good.

How should I bid on it? 50Euros? 20 euros? what is a reasonable bid?

...how big is it?

I would argue, for a used SSD, about 50-60c per gigabyte.

That is an SF1200 SSD. Any ssd is better than no SSD...but I wouldnt pay more than 20cents a GB at the most for it. IE 25 bucks would be a hard limit. Its old, its slow by modern standards, its out of warranty and the SF1200s occasional suffer from sudden death syndrome

Mine currently sits in my Hackintosh, every single time I boot the machine I praise the SSD gods that it actually works...

That said, any ssd is better than no ssd, but I wouldn't pay much for one of these.

I can attest to this, I had one that just suddenly died without warning, right at the warranty limit - I didn't have the original receipt so I didn't bother with an rma.
