I have a custom build I am selling locally for what I think is a
reasonable price - $500 a potential buyer is trying to get me down to
$450, I'm pretty firm on $500 but want another option.

Specs:

Antec 300 case
Asus Rampage II Gene LGA 1366 Motherboard
Corsair Dominator 12 GB (3 x 4GB) XMS3 (brand new still in box)
i7 - 920
XFX HD 6870 Black
Corsair HX750
OCZ Turbo 120 GB SSD OS drive (Brand new in box)
Samsung 750 GB storage drive

450 sounds close reasonable if you're trying to move the system quick, but I'm sure you could hold out for 500 or even up to $550.

The extra ram and ROG board give it a little more value over the standard 6gb+920 1366 combo we see every now and then for $250.

I don't see why you can't get $500..

You could probably get 550+ if it's a D0 stepping for your CPU. 500 is more than reasonable for that system. I say you should increase it to 600 and settle for 500.
