=Mostly RAM, but a few cards (2x vid, 1x sound)

Guys & Gals,

I'm new at unloading partial systems and small amounts of RAM, and this is basically 'salvage' to help me fund my new system. Most of my old one is already up and running for my neices & nephew, but it needs a video card that has a d-sub port (my donors are the two listed!)

Can you give me ballpark prices, if sold here/Kijiji/eBay (or any other locations if better?)

Here is the list, I CAN post pics of the items if thats an admin issue (please let me know before you erase it, I can click and upload inside 24h) I have included as much spec-wise as I could... and I'm hoping I can get the DDR tested today. The DDR2 OCZ stuff is tested and golden, as is the nVidia GeForce 9600GT.

I have receipts for the OCZ DDR2 & GT9600 (were part of my old system).

But honestly those are all old old items would say $5-10 for the 1 gb ddr and free for the lessers for the ddr2 $25-35 for the 800 and 35-55 for the 1066.

for the 9600gt I would say $20

Thanks for the suggestions...

But the 'completed' prices via eBay on the DDR RAM was a ~bit~ more than 'nada'... and the used prices on the OCZ is a ~bit~ low (especially considering a 'Lifetime Warranty' issue.

And I'll try to contribute more... though I'm trying to rebuild my desktop after donating much of its guts to my nieces and nephew after theirs choked and died (Mobo and PSU toast, some salvage otherwise)

When I tried to add to the initial 'System Build Help' post, the system ATE my post. Uness Admin or a first-time reader can repost it for me, I'm going to have to recompose it, and thats not going to be pleasant. And as I've got medical appointments Wednesday morn and mid-day Thursday, it may be Friday before I can recompile/edit and repost it.

I used to be a tech (late 80's - early 90's) but got medically retired, so now my tech-duties are:

• my own systems, one being rebuilt now, the other a Samsung R780 laptop;
• my father's desktop (an HP Pavilion a805n) and laptop (HP G62) as e-reader/portable mail station;
• my bro-in-law's HP G62 and the neices/nephews' system (now rebuilt with my old desktop guts)
• and any of my friends and neighbors who can afford my inexpensive services.

So I may not be able to provide ~too~ much tech assistance, or decent contributions, as my uses for the beasts are mail, text-chatting, and FPS gaming like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare 1 & 2 and similar games. One of the first games I played on my first PC in the 90's was MechWarrior... took me a while to learn the 'tricks' to get the besty mechs by the end of the game.

I'll contribute when/where I can, but I'm more knowledgable as a R/C modeler than a tech these days (tanks, boats and buggies, all electric, with a few unusual ones thrown in)

Honestly those prices look close to me. Of course you can get more if you go on ebay or find someone willing to pay more local, but not going to happen on here for much more than that. You may manage 40- 50 for the 800 and possibly 60 if your lucky for the 1066, but ddr3 is so cheap now its not really worth investing much in older ram.

The lifetime warranty wouldn't count for much, especially if you have to pay postage to RMA. It's kind of like selling a house with a pool, it's nice but doesn't factor in to the selling price no matter how much the owner wants it to.

If your shopping old DDR2 memory I doubt you care too much about the speed either so I wouldn't pay more for 8500 vs 6400 I'd just take the better one if it's the same price more or less. So $60 for a new set + postage $65, I'd be offering about $35 for your best DDR2 2x2GB, at a stretch I'd go $40-45.

And you really can't compare eBay prices, they go from ridiculously cheap to overpriced. Several of the DDR2 sets have shipping charges of over $40, ridiculous.

In case your wondering, I do adhere to my own values, I just sold a 2x1GB DDR 6400 Mushkin set for $10 and some idiot has them on ebay for $88 + $20 shipping.
