What is go rate for a 1tb black harddrive. both are purchase around 2009.

Also have a 1tb hitachi.

I think you could get 40-50 each for them np. hitachi maybe 30?

i would pay 40 max each, the 2 of the black drives that bought from someone here, are so severely abused that it barely survives.

So how do you tell if a harddrive is barely surviving? Is there a program that tells you the status?

I check the date. one has 2 year warranty left and the other has 3 year. Nowadays those low cost 2-3tb harddrive only come with 1 year warranty for seagate and 2 year for WD greens. I think its better if just get a new case or a cage for them.
