HP Pavilion G6 laptop modelG61c40ca

Hey guys,

I've got an opportunity to get my hands on up to 6 open box returns of some HP laptops. They sell for about 460 plus tax new. Price is $275. Are they worth it? Tested working but no warranty. These are the models Telus gives you when you sign up for a 3-year internet contract. Good for browsing, email and Youtube, probably not much of a gamer.

Model HP G61c40ca
Screen 15.6 Led
Processer AMD A6-3400M Quad-Core Mobile
Memory 6 GB DDR3
Hard Drive 750 GB
Optical Drive DVD RW
Graphics AMD radeon HD 6520 G Discrete Class Graphics
WLAN & Bluetooth
Operating System Windows 7 Home Premium

Should I buy some?

i got one as well from telus, imo if u really dont need another laptop then no, its a chunky laptop i must say and to be honest why not just get a tablet? serves the purpose much better, especially if that windows8 RT rummor is true, that it will launch at $199

I don't own a laptop, nor will I. I'm grabbing one for my mother-in-law because hers died, and she won't take a free desktop I built her because of space constrictions in her condo. I thought it was a decent deal for a 15" entry level lappy, and thought I might share it if there was interest.

You're right, if I personally want a portable browser I'll grab a cheap tablet. My wife uses her Kobo Vox everyday, and it's not a great tablet. Good e-reader, not enough oomph for multi-purpose though.

Where can these be purchased? My nephew is looking for something for minecraft. This sounds like a good match.
