as title says how much should i sell a fairly new xfx 7970

What version is it?? Product number??

Double D (FX797ATDFC) would be

400 - 10% = 360

Black (FX797ATDBC) would be

440 - 10% = 396

OC black (FX797ATNBC) would be

458 - 10% = 412


Since they're XFX and have transferable warranty, you might be able to hit a little higher with the prices. Also, some of the prices have a rebate involved so you might be able to get a little more there too. It all depends on if you find someone who really wants one for a certain price.
