Default E350 HTPC Price Check

Asus E35M1-M Pro Motherboard
2x4gb AMD Entertainment Ram 1333mhz
60GB OCZ Agility 3 SSD
Gigabyte Radeon HD6450 Videocard *note below*
LG Bluray Drive
Card reader
Rii N7 Mini KB/Touchpad
Apex MATX Black n Silver Case with 275w Psu

Note: 6450 is needed for Netflix HD as Microsoft Silverlight does not support the onboard 6310 with Hardware Acceleration. The 6310 will handle 1080P BRRips no trouble otherwise.

What you guys think I could get for this system?
Its less than 3 months old and all parts still have warranty. Purchased from NCIX for the most part.

Hiya,

What O/S are you running on it? I figure the parts at around $495 tax incl. if sourced today. If you have it licensed for Win7 Home Premium 64bit then that's another $125 for an OEM copy.

So $620 then half rule for second hand but then it's not too old and parts still warrantied you could try for more like $350-400. Problem is you need to find someone who basically wants exactly that kind of rig and realizes how much they are saving.

Its actually running W7 Ultimate. I was part of the W7 launch so I got a couple of copies for free but that would most likely not be included. I would probably load it with XBMCbuntu or something similar if I were to sell it to someone as a ready to use HTPC.

Hmmm, yah I thought you might put XBMC on it, it's a great media player, I had it on several old XBOXes before I had to upgrade for 720p files. PCs handle them fine with it though.

May be a harder sell with that OS though since it's niche. You don't want to sell it and have them treating you like their personal help desk too.

I have a feeling that you'll end up having to part it out to get your best return...
