My System Specs

Default Appraisal: 6870 to nVidia

If I was looking to jump ship to the green team, what would be an appropriate amount to add to my 6870 to step up to a 560 ti or 570? It's completely reference and no overclocking done.

It's not much of an upgrade, if that's what you're looking for. You won't notice the performance difference in most games.

I'm not worried too much about the performance difference. My 6870 runs what I need it to great right now. That said, I won't downgrade; only side ways or upward. I know the 560 ti is a little bit faster than the 6870, but it's more just wanting to try out something new.

i had both the 6870 and 560ti, and honestly the dif is like 3fps, 560ti is about 9% faster if i remember correctly stated in the review here on hwc. In all honestly you'll get about $90-120 depending how quickly you want to sell your 6870 for. While you can pick up a 560ti for ~140, plus or minus $10. Its really not worth the hassel, at least go to a 570 and even then not the biggest of upgrades either.

I don't think its worth the hassle either.

I appreciate the feed back, but I'm still wondering what the price difference would be between a 6870 and either a 560ti or 570.

I would say you would add 30-40 for a TI and atleast 70-80 for a 570, a 570 destroys a 6870. But I dont know unless someone needs another 6870 for xfire, would want to trade a TI for it for 30-40 bucks, I wouldnt personally.
