im looking for feedback, my mother inlaw needs a gaming system for her step son, I have this laying around minus the video card (5870 still kicking ass) which is still being used, Im hoping i can sell it to her at a deal and be able to get a new Video card with the cash. $$500? $400? Am i off with my used pricing? $75 - CPU - Intel LGA775 Q6600 $20 - CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212+ $25 - Motherboard - Micro ATX ASUS P5G41-M LE/CSM $150 - GPU - Sapphire Vapor X HD5870 $40 - PSU - OCZ Modextreme Pro 500W $100 - Case - Corsair 650D $25 - Ram - Kingston 4GB $75 - HDD - 2 x WD Black 640GB |
take out one of the 640GB HDD and then sell for $400 |

$60 - CPU - Intel LGA775 Q6600 $15 - CPU Cooler - CM Hyper 212+ $25 seems reasonable - Motherboard - Micro ATX ASUS P5G41-M LE/CSM $150...maybe a touch on the high side - GPU - Sapphire Vapor X HD5870 $20 - PSU - OCZ Modextreme Pro 500W $100 good - Case - Corsair 650D $15 - Ram - Kingston 4GB $75 (for the pair) - HDD - 2 x WD Black 640GB So that gives a total of $460. I would say as a bundle $400 tops. That all said I personally wouldn't pay that for it for a few reasons. 1) too much of the money spend on the case, and not enough on other components (in gaming even a $100 i3 will be faster than the q6600). ******2) I would never run a q6600 and hd 5870 on an OCZ 500w power supply. Its just not high enough quality, nor high enough wattage for my comfort factor. The only parts that would be of value to me would be the case, GPU, hard drives, cooler, and ram. |
CoolHandL, Take into account where you are asking. These forums sell near high end parts for cut rate prices because newer faster models have come out and the seller wants a quick sale to get cash to acquire the next high end part. If you ask for pricing here you'll get a reasonable estimate given the selling prices of past items HERE. I would say that you could safely add 10-20% if you are selling it elsewhere. I just sold the following system for $500 cash local delivery and give or take it's about the same as yours. Cooler Master 690 Asus M3A mobo AMD Phenom II X4 940 BE (mild O.C. to 3.2Ghz) CM Hyper 212+ HS 8 GB g.skill (4x2) Hiper 880 PSU Sapphire HD5770 500GB WD disk LG DVD burner with lightscribe Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Come to think of it you don't mention if you are including a windows license... Are you? Mine was OEM system builder so had to go with the system. |
