These things overclock like crazy and I'm not sure if it's worth selling or just building my brother a rig to replace his Athlon 3000+ :ph34r:

I was thinking about $200 because it can overclock like crazy (compared to the new Sandy Bridge i3's).

Yea they do clock like crazy, i have i3 540 currently at 4.6ghz with HT enabled at only 1.35v. And brand new chip is about a 100, if the board was a bit better P55 maybe 200. But I would say around 150 max.

I agree with 175-200. The prices brand new exceed $300 for all three parts, $382.72 for me shipped and all with NCIX (Zotac board replacing the Gigabyte).

And even being low end, these parts are by no means old yet.

I guess others think I was low. Maybe $175. Only reason I said $150 was I bought my parents a combo over a year ago that was an i3 540/ similar MOB, but MSI and -USB 3.0/ 8bg 1333mhz ram for $199.99 new. For $200 you can get a SB i3 combo new (plus tax and shipping, but still).
