I saw that, but thought it was awfully low considering the RFD / craigslist / kijiji pricing on C2D quads. I was thinking more along the lines of $100 / $120 shipped for the pair, but want to make sure I'm not ripping anybody off.

Yeah 120 for the combo would be reasonable

Just for future reference.... I got an offer for $100 shipped within 5 minutes of asking the question. Guess $100 / $120 was in the ball park. ;)

BTW...... IMO it needs to be stressed that folks should be extra careful when making offers on items they see in the Price Check area..... we have image and pricing requirements in the buy/sell threads for a reason, and some folks might try to circuumvent those requirements through the price check area. (In case anybody is wondering... it wasn't requested, but I sent along some pics and a good description of what's in the package via PM.... ;) ).

Heh... dunno. It was time to retire the old girl, it had been running XP for the longest time as my Napster PC / 24/7 storage server, but not only did the Napster client get upgraded for win7, the death of Napster.ca has made that all moot. The only other purpose it was filling was to run an SMP client and it wasn't worth the heat/electricity for aprox. 8K PPD.

As it stands, I'm already running 2 AM3 desktops (1090t + a dualie), a quad 17" laptop, and an Acer win7 tablet for my own personal use, and that's not counting the i3 desktop my young lad uses nor the P4 laptop my better half has claimed for her own use.

I had hoped to be running a BD by now (bought the sabertooth 990FX just for that purpose) but we all know how that turned out. There might be an intel build in my future, but as it stands, I see no real reason to upgrade, and the BD experience has soured me on new hardware aquisitions anywise......

I expect I'll get an itch for something folding related in the new year... hell, gotta figure out something to do with my frankenstein WC'd techstation (aside from a good cleaning that is), it's looking kinda lonely up there. ;)

I swear I cleaned out that rad only a couple of months ago.... or maybe my memory is just going.... :)
