Default How much is my RIG worth? Going over to the darkside.(intel)

I am going to sell my RIG, on the local classifieds. I think my price maybe to high.

-ASUS Crosshair V 990FX AM3+
-AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz Quad
-Scythe Mine 2 140mm Sleeve CPU Cooler
-Patriot Viper Xtreme Series, Division 2 Edition 8GB DDR3 1600 8-9-8 24 1T
-CORSAIR Professional Series HX750 750W
-HIS 4870X2 2GB video card
-Intel x25-V 40GB SSD
-Western Digital VelociRaptor 300GB 10000 RPM
-Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB 5900 RPM
-LG DVD-RW

If I get a new MCP655, I can put in a second 4870X2 2GB with a DD waterblock.(I have a koolance block for the HIS.)

What do you think? I got everything in the last 4 months.(besides the cards/case.)

Its been my experience that parting out a system will yield you more cash than a complete system. There is always someone out there looking for 1 or 2 pieces as opposed to a complete system.

^from my experience what happens is that you sell 1 or 2 of them at a "good" price than the other parts that go unsold for you have to take a hit as you either holdout and see the value drop slowly, or sell it quickly but you have priced it down a lot less. imo sell it all together as its better than having something taking up space for over a year and you realize that you are trying to sell it for less than an offer you got many months before.

Put the other 4870x2 in there and say $620 for it all; arent 4870x2's still about $150 used? the psu is worth about $100 and the ssd is worth like $50, so the other parts are worth about $200, so thats my opinion.

I would say around $450 tops with both the 4870x2's.

I highly doubt that, every new (besides the case and GPU.) Is $1050 shipped off Newegg. so $800 is fair, with both GPU's and full WC loop.

Supply and demand, prices go up when the demand is down. That's why DDR2 ram is so cheap, where as DDR3 is cheap as hell. Same goes for video cards, no offence but if you come here to ask for our opinions and then not take them, It's kind of a waste of time.

Ok, fair point. I am going to try $800 with the quad-gpu and full loop. (I guess I will take the first $700 that is offed.)

or just part it out.

a rule of thumb i use is: 30% less than Retail (before taxes) at the time of selling , it doesn't matter what you paid new. After only 4 months why are you selling it all?
