How much does 4870 1G worth
 

Just wondering how much does 4870 1G worth these days. I have a HIS 4870 1G that is very quiet, I am listing at $70 at local kijiji and no interests, what is a fair price? I don't play game any more (for now I think) so I was trying to sell 4870 1G for a low end passive card+cash just for extra monitor supports (I already have a passive 5450 in my PC). But it looks like I won't get any cash back at all as people are still selling low end card 4650 for over $40. :doh:

I'd say $50 tops and that's being generous. It's like 4 generations old (if we include the HD4890 refresh).

Geeze ... they have dropped that much in value? I sold mine a year ago for $150. Mind you it was on Kijiji in a small town where everything is expensive ... but still. A damn good card too.

you would have a chance at selling for $70, but it may be slow. $50 should be a relatively fast sale and $60 probably a fair value...IMO.

One just sold last week in London (I missed out on it lol) for $40 for the 4870 1GB

I guess video card is really the fastest depreciating component in a PC. Once it is not top of the line and not the current generation, it is worth no more than a htpc card.

By the way, I still see 5770s sell for over $100 used, that is like twice the worth of a 4870 1G. Maybe I should keep it just in case I want to play CS source occasionally.
