Is anyone else trying this beta out?

I do like firefox, but I'm going to try this out anyways.

To premature to give it any thought right now.

Off the top of my head.

1) I don't like how each thread is a new process that takes anywhere between 10-40mb of ram
2) I don't like the Vista feel tot he UI of it.

I like it so far, though I'm used to my Firefox so it's kinda hard to change.

Missing a few things though like Adblock along with all the other great Firefox addons. It does load extremely quick compared to Firefox though which I quite like.

Overall, a fantastic concept, in my books. If the browser winds up faster overall, I don't mind sacrificing a little RAM, and the "task manager" option is seriously overdue. And if they can cure the Javascript lockups, extra bonus points. But I'm not willing to give up the ad-blocking, and preliminary reports suggest that Chrome isn't up to par with FF in that area.

To their credit, the comic they've put out for it is quite possibly one of the best marketing presentations I've seen in quite some time.

I like it but too buggy right now. I know it is beta though. I does load up fast and load pages fast. It also uses up about 19x more cpu then Firefox but meh.


It has a scroll bar. And there will but custom skins because it is open source.

Using it right now. Have to admit it's very fast both at starting up & loading pages even , initially at least, compared to FF, IE or Opera.

As for the look & feel , I like it so far but as with anything I'm sure lots of skins will be made available soon enough.

Memory use is't really a factor for me, 4gigs system ram, but I could see how it may need to be lowered a bit for the more "memory challenged".

The "Incognito Window" is a nice feature as well as how the tabs can be manipulated. With my surfing habits I usually have at least 3-6 tabs open at any one time so the added tab manipulation features is nice as well as having relevant browsing, bookmark info available upon opening each new tab.

All in all, Imho, a pretty nice first release even if it is beta. I'm sure development will be swift.

It's always great to have high quality choices.

I'll stick with Firefox for the time being, with the Speed Dial addon it is pretty damn close to my ultimate browser.
Of course, if they remedy some of the memory issues in Chrome... who knows. :)

Tried it and since it is in beta .. this is the wait and see cat. , I like the speed, didn't like the push for downloading of stuff.. if I need it I can find it.
