People should be careful and read specs before buying - The 9800GT & 8800GT both use the SAME chipset, SAME clocks SAME specifications!

As to GeForce PhysX drivers for Series 8 and 9 cards, it should be available in August.

nvidia is looking at trying to gain money from anywhere and is releasing old cards with a new name just to fool the consumer.

Actually there are some differences - The 9800GT supports 3way SLI and HybridPower, otherwise the chipset used is identical and the same number of SPs, 112, same clocks, same specs, so unless you are doing 3way SLI or want HybridPower, you would be wasting your money going from a 8800GT to a 9800GT. NVIDIA is mileading a lot of people this way - they could have done 8900GT - ;) Or 8800.1 !

The cards are identical. The 3 way SLI and hybrid power are features they disabled in the 8800 version of the g92 chip.

well hybrid's pretty much nothing when you don't have a AMD 700 board.

The 9800GT is a die shrink.

These cards might have been worth something 3-4 months ago. Now they are a cash grab and not worth it. Nvidia should be ashamed for releasing more and more cards with these cores and calling them new. These are not new.
